Mr. Richard Stapley-Oh

As the Head of Law for KPMG’s member law firm in Vietnam and Cambodia, Richard is responsible for the day to day operations of KPMG Legal, one of Vietnam’s leading law practices.  Qualified in Western Australia, Richard was based in Singapore from 2006 to 2016, before moving to Vietnam.  Prior to that, Richard worked in Perth, Australia, for top tier private practice law firms. 

Richard has extensive experience in advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial cross-border transactions, with significant experience in acting for both sellers and purchasers in transactions in Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong and the Philippines, with a particular focus on the mining and industrial sectors.  Richard also has experience in assisting clients entering the Vietnam market, and acting for clients in respect of limited and non-recourse financing and general corporate finance transactions, commercial litigation, international arbitration and insolvency.
