Mr. Nguyen Van Vy

Before joining VEA in 2016, he was in charge of the positions: Director General of Department For Sectoral Economic Affairs, Office of the Government; Deputy Director General of Institute For Industrial Policy Strategy Research - Ministry of Industry and Trade; Director of Department the Electricity prices and fees - Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam; Deputy Head of Planning Department of Electricity of Vietnam; Head of Electrical System Development Department - Institute of Energy.

He chaired the development of the Energy Sector Development Strategy approved by the Prime Minister: Vietnam's renewable energy development strategy to 2030, vision to 2050 (2015); Vietnam's national energy development strategy to 2020, vision to 2050 (2007); Development strategy of Vietnam's electricity sector by 2020, with a vision to 2030 (2004). He also participated in developing, appraising and submitting to the Prime Minister of Vietnam for approval the National Electricity Development Plan of Vietnam in stages III, IV, V, VI and VII.
